>My point is you >haven't made a new game, you have made changes that have been made before, maybe >a little different, but not much. > >I've seen superior versions of Fairy Chess. So changing something to produce something that has not existed is not creating something new? When a baby is born, is it just a rehashing of an "old idea", or is it referred to as a "newborn"? 'Superior' is a subjective interpretation. It all depends on your preference. With over 30,000 sets out there right now, and fewer than 80,000 members of the United States Chess Federation, the arguments about Gothic Chess being just some weird offshoot is starting to lose merit.
