for me,i no longer play rated games because of this and because of the rampant
cheating(use of PC chess programs)
my idea of online chess is simply you are playing another person via the
internet
there should be no other differences
to see someone a full rook down( but ahead on time) use a premove client to make
63 moves in 9 seconds changes the game from chess to a video game
i realize many players employ these artifical means to inflate their ratings so
i determined long ago,for myself, that online ratings are meaningless and not
statistically valid
so i play only unrated games as a guest,i use no PC programs to make my moves
for me and no pre-move clients and no other gimmicks

i find that about 25-30% of the players i meet online are also not using these
artificial methods while on any given night about 70% do,even in unrated games

as soon as i think i am playing someone using a computer,or as soon as i see
they are using a premove client i just let the clock run out until the game is
over

ok now i understand
thanks for the clarification
