LGOLIATH FOR CHRISTMAS – FIRST RESULTS
Today or during the next days a new version of Little Goliath will be released,
have a look at
www.chessbase.com or
www.cent.co.yu/chess.
The new version was optimized for fritz, the download is free. It seems that
this version is much stronger than the older ones, I got during the last
autoplays very interessting results:
3m/P K6-II-300
Little Goliath 1.40
- Nimzo99b 4:6
- Junior 4.6 1:9
- Comet A98 6:4
- Crafty 16.2 3:7
- Lgoliath 1.33 6:4
6m/P K6-II-300
Little Goliath 1.40
- Nimzo99b 3:4
- Junior 4.6 3,5:3,5
- Hiarcs6 3,5:3,5
quite good against three of the top-commercials,
but LG still doesn´t like the following opponents:
- Fritz4 0,5:6,5 (the old Morsch-engine is still a strong blitzer!)
- Crafty 16.2 1,5: 5,5 (Mr. Hyatt, what have you done with crafty??)
Looking to the different results against Junior there is perhaps a trend to
better results at longer times, we will see.Nevertheless very good results for a
freeware programm. Considerig that this is a lite version which is
working brute force I am very keen on playing the big brother GOLIATH, which is
working
completly different (selektiv, much more knowledge). First impressions you will
read in css (journal/homepage)
as soon as possible.

THE FRITZ-WINBOARD-REPORT IV
D E L A Y E D
J just got a lot of new informations and a new chessbase winboard-engine
(20.12).
There are also some new engines we want to test. So we have to start (and
translate) again...
