Subject: PROOF On Who CM6000 Is Aimed At & The Strength of It.

I have seen many people go on about who would play CM6K and use CM6K as a tool
for their chess. Whether it be Begginers or Tournament Players and also how
strong their engine might be.

I have seen KK give his comments and the rest of the so called CM dislikers rush
in behind him to throw in their comments and to put it down.

I will offer proof to all that think CM6000 was aimed at serious chess players
as well as beginners. I have heard many people state that it was not Mindscapes
aim to target the serious player.

Well I will quote what Mindscape put onto their box for CM6000 and it clearly
shows who they want to sell their product too and what they think of it engine.

I have put in capitals the more important and relevant words.

"Chessmaster 6000 is the complete computerized chess resource for ALL AGE GROUPS
and SKILL LEVELS. BEGINNERS are patiently instructed and guided through
history's most Challenging Game. INTERMEDIATE and EXPERT PLAYERS can both
elevate their level of play and match wits with the most cunning opponent
available on a personal computer."

Now they clearly state that expert players who use CM6000 can elevate their
level of play. So I would assume that mean using it as a tool to better their
game.

And Mindscape clearly believe they now have the strongest program since they
state that it is the most cunning opponent on a personal computer, which mean it
can outsmart any other program.

Chessmaster has no right to be called a toy based on KK's comments that because
it is not a tool for serious players, then it is a toy.
Because as you can see mindscape did aim CM6K for the EXPERT players. Thus if
the word toy is used again to describe this program then it is an insult to
Mindscape and I think any offending posts should be removed. As this is part of
the Charter is it not.
