Many, many millions of chess players all over the world love and revere Mikhail
Tal, but who cares about CM6000? Nobody. I don't even know anyone who uses
CM6000 anymore .... it's a forgotten engine, but Mikhail Tal's memory lives on.
That says it all. Please don't compare the moves and games of a genius with a
second-rate computer program. (Yes, second rate ... there are dozens now that
are better.) Did CM6000 ever win any world championships, computer or
otherwise? No ... but Tal did. Did CM6000 ever win any
(noncomputer)tournaments? Not to my knowledge, but Tal won many. Please don't
compare Tal to an obsolete software.

Tal in his heyday would have found a way to crush CM6000 ... "sound" or
otherwise. Many of the great "unsound" sacrifices of Tal are difficult for
computers to refute ... the refutations are often beyond their "search horizon."
Many of the computers, being materialistic by nature, would have tumbled
headlong into Tal's deep traps and schemes. A few moves later, the computer
would have finally spotted its problems ... too late (just like his human
opponents).
