I think Steve's posts are most appropriate for this forum: A. The forum is computer chess -- initially computer chess was nothing but dedicated chess computers. B. I suspect Steve is more knowledgeable about dedicated chess computers than any other member here. It is to our benefit for us to have someone with his expertise. C. Steve's exhortations are 100% non commercial - he is a hobbyist and one the great ones at that with respect to dedicated chess computers. I have no probelms with people making offers to buy dedicated chess computers or posting links to (non commercial) ebay auctions. Even a notice to sale a dedicated chess computer on a personal basis would be ok in my book (but it would be best to conduct the transaction through ebay as proection for both buyer and seller). This is the "computer chess" forum after all , not "strictly chess software" forum.
