Since all the pieces you use in your capablanca variant existed prior to your 'invention' lets focus on your startup position. Now that you can patent a game position is serious idiocy from USPTO. Imagine I patent a sentence, say 'you are as dense as murky waters of Hudson river' (well copyright would be appropriate name here, but since you patented some combination of pieces and empty squares then some combination of letters is obviously patentable too) Now I am definitely allowed to ban all future typewriters and text editors, since they could be used to type my patented sentence. You do realize patents were granted for things like hyperlink and browser popup window? All that would not bother me at all, uspto takes money from anyone nowadays. What bothers me is your recurring self-promotion here on CCC with some 'gothic chess' BS. (note hexagonal chess used to be called 'gothic chess' years ago, so even your name is not original) Just go promote your variant elsewhere. And good luck with your lawyers -Andrew-
