I haven't read what is said last days about test suites. But anyway my 2 cents. My principal use for chess programs has always been running test suites! And probably always will be! So they are important at least for me... My years old goal is to make own test suite, which predicts engine strength well. And I think I have now quite good suite containing selected positions from WM test and as much from others tests. No endpositions at all (e.g. Yace scores there extremely well, but they are so rare in actual play). Jouni
