I have not seen anything about a "xeon 2".  Not that it matters.  I have posted
benchmark numbers for Crafty, showing that a single 2.2ghz opteron is more than
twice as fast as a single-CPU xeon 2.8ghz Intel box.  I wouldn't think twice
about which to choose myself...
