with all of the legal wranglings going on as of late..i found myself longing for the good ol days when chess computers were chess computers no PC progs running at opteron speeds, the SSDF was not yet the force it is today, there were but a few companies busy making dedicated chess computers, all working in concert hand in hand ..happy go-lucky one for all and all for one ...then i woke up i remembered the fierce competition between Fidelity and Mephisto during the World Micro computer chess championships of the 1980's. each company entering their latest prog on an over clocked processor that would never be commerically available.the accusations of foul play from all of the competitors...and then i thought.. ah yes those were indeed..the good ol days :) Steve
