Subject: report about my hardware plans

I think to buy the opteron248 or opteron250(if possible) from
www.compu21.co.il(I go for 2 in order to be able to add one processor in the
future)

There are some problems:

1)There is no confidence that I can get the hardware before the beginning of
WCCC.

2)I am the only buyer of that hardware in Israel and amd has not it in the stock
so the company will invite the parts from USA and they expect to get it in 4
days from the day that I order.

3)It is the first time that this computer is built by that company and I cannot
be sure how much time it is going to take them to build the computer.

4)there is only limited responsibility for the computer(not like the case when I
buy something from IBM).

The price of the computer is at least 3500$ but I do not pay it in one payement
so there is going to be no problem with it.

I remember that people claimed that the athlon64 is cheaper solution but based
on looking at the price of the processor it seems that the price of the good
athlon is high so there is probably not a big difference and I do not see that I
can get a computer that is 10% slower for significantly smaller price.

The main problem that make me unsure if I can get the computer on time is that
It is the first time that this company build the computer and I am not sure how
much time it is going to take.

The computer is expected to go to Israel 4 days from the time I order it and I
guess it is going to be 3 days in the duty before the company build it.

I think to go for the opteron and not for the athlon also because of options to
upgrade later.

If I buy the athlon and there is going to be faster opteron I cannot get the
faster opteron for cheaper price but if I buy opteron and there is later a
faster opteron I may replace only the processor and get a better computer for
cheaper price.
