You can download a pgn opening book then convert it to ctg through the Fritz8
gui.

To make your own book you should first be familiar with pgn database tools such
as Scid and pgn-extract. Then you can collect and prune pgn files into your own
pgn file exactly the way you want it. Then you can create a ctg file. That is
what I have done and I would share it, but I first need a place to host the 67M
file.
