it is a very good question
and one which i asked myself several years ago when i bought CM 5500
it can defeat me like i am a child(and i was rated 1900 postal-correspondence)
so i stopped myself from running out to buy the stronger CM 6000
and of course i did not buy CM7K,8K,9K nor will i rush away to but CM10k when it
is realeased

i have not purchased a PC chess program since CM 5500 and nor do i intend to
just no point to it(for me at least)
Best Steve
