Hello, at http://www.computerschach.de/test/index.htm there's an updated version of my Excel sheet with the detailed results of 260 engines in the test suite "Weltmeister-Test" (WM-Test) available for free download (1,5 MB). The "WM-Test" includes 100 test positions from games of the different (human) chess world champions: 38 positions in King attack, 36 positions in positional playing and 26 positions in endgame. Test conditions: Each of the 100 test positions was tested 20 minutes in analyse mode, without access to opening books, but with access to endgame databases (Nalimov tablebases, complete 3/4/5 pieces). Used hardware: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1400 MHz. Since my last published Excel sheet (2004 January, with 230 engines) the following engines were tested by me: - Shredder 8 Aggressive, Gambit Shredder 8 Aggressive and Shredder Classic - Ruffian 2.0.2 and Ruffian 2.1.0 - CM9000 R1 (Hudetz), - Aristarch 4.37, Aristarch 4.41 and Aristarch 4.50 - Crafty 19.08 - Comet B68 - Gothmog 0.4.5 and Gothmog 0.4.8 - Yace 0.99.86 alpha - AnMon 5.30 - Anaconda 1.6.2 - Tao 5.6 - Thinker 4.5g - Patriot 0.1.7-2 Light - The Baron 1.2.0 - Quark 2.29 - Slow Chess 2.93a - Jonny 2.61 - Averno 0.70 - Fruit 1.0 and Fruit 1.5 - Movei 0.08.178 - BlackBishop 0.9.7i - Chess Academy 7 (with and without Academy “Middlgam.mbb”). For using this test suite “WM-Test” and to avoid misunderstandings/misinterpretations of my test results I recommend to look at the attached “readme.txt”. Hint: In case you don’t use Excel you can download a free MS Excel Viewer (Excel 97/2000 Viewer, 3,72 MB) at http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx. Regards, Manfred Meiler
