My OTB chess vision is almost nonexistant from looking at a 2D board on the computer screen. I've looked at a 2D board on the computer for so many years that I lost to a scholar's mate against a player rated 600 the first time I played OTB since becomming interested in computer chess half a dozen years ago. It is really suprising to me how poorly I play when looking at a real board. I make mistakes OTB that I don't even make in 2/6 blitz games online. I just can't see the geometry OTB anymore.
