okay Uri (last post ;-)):

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2.0 GHz 512 KB Cache
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz 1024 KB Cache
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (Newcastle) 2.2 GHz 512 KB Cache
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2 GHz 1024 KB Cache

the list goes on, but these are your options right?

For chess Ghz does matter and size of cache is negligible (unless you
specifically design for that) but not for other applications. That is why 3400+
is more expansive. For chess however it is not worth the money (perhpas 1-2 %
speed difference).
