I like very much CSTAL I and II -specially one, with the grimacing face of that
kind of monster there, smiling..- but I believe the all thing is the inverse you
postulate. The reason of a CSTAL kind of program is to substitute brute force
with short-cuts, to say it simple. But If you have all powerful computers, even
brute force approach will give results, as it is already the case. And then
smart approach becomes obsolete.
Nevertheless, a somewhat tamed CSTAL with a more powerfull hardware could give
some unexpected excellent results. Who knows. For me they are good enough now.
But, who is going to tame he horse?
