There is a known bug with the installation involving accounts that are NOT named
"Administrator" but have administrator priveleges to the machine.

Here is what one user posted on the CMX000 message board:

----------------
I have Windows 2000.

This is how I got the Chessmaster 10 Demo working:

The reason it was failing was because I was not logged in with the username
"Administrator". Instead I was logged in as a different username but with
Administrator privaledges. This was causing the error message half-way through
the install.

I fixed the problem by creating an Administrator account with
username="Administrator" and installing Chessmaster 10 demo under this login.
----------------

Seems pretty silly to me....
