As far as I have observed, the only disadvantage of moving that slider down, is
decreased video speed. In particular, "text scrolling" is many times slower. (It
had been almost unuseably-lighning-fast.) All things considered, I have a pretty
bug-free system. For example, my CB 32-bit sound works, Real Video works, etc.
And I built it myself, I am pleased to say.

I am not an expert on this. It is possible that with the right drivers, etc., I
could get everything working at full speed. But I recently upgraded from a 486
to a PII-300, and I am very happy with its speed! And now that everything is
working, I am happy to leave it alone and enjoy!
