Korchnoj does demonstrate that you can have splashes of great mental performance at 70+. I find this very encouraging personally. but you do have to realize that this must be a rare event in Korchnoi performance nowadays since his current elo is below 2600. He is probably very likely to blunder in an average game, but occasionally gets a great winning streak without blunders like in the last tourney. you can get winning streaks even with inferior engine...
