Dear Presidante

I of course echo these thoughts 100%
however for me the same is true not only for CM but for Fritz or Shredder or any
of the commercial PC chess programs
i can be beaten into humility by Frtiz 5 and Shredder 3
so again no need for me to upgrade past these releases

an interesting question..

suppose there was a requirement..that no one can be allowed to purchase a new
upgrade until they can provide proof that they have won at least one game
against the program at the minimun level of 1 hour for the game..
no takebacks..no analysis windows etc..
what percentage of the buying public could buy the new program?
what percentage of the CCC members could?

of course we ignore the fact players can cheat by playing the program with
another program..
just for discussion purposes...
what i am asking is.
what percentage of players can actually beat either Fritz,Shredder ,CM ETCETC.
even one time??

my rough guesstime...
General public..less then 2%
CCC members..10-15 %

Steve
