If your search depth is 4 or less then you have an opk problem. Once that is
solved, CM10K will do outperform Ruffian with short or long time controls. Here
are the results of a little tournament I did at home yesterday on a AMD 2000xp+,
with 128K per engine. (I hope it formats in a readable way.)

1	Fritz 8 18.5/28
2	Shredder 8	16.5/28
3	TheKing 3.33skr	15.5/28
4	List 512	14.5/28
5	Smarthink	13.5/28
6	Ruffian 1.0.5	12.0/28
7	Patriot 11.0/28
8	SOS 4 for Arena	10.5/28

I will give you my settings (below) for CM10K under the Chessbase fritz8 gui.
(These settings are in wb2uci.eng in order to convert CM10K from a winboard to a
UCI engine.) Of course you have to use your opk number instead of mine. The
settings are the "skr" settings that are considered the best settings for CM9K.

I also have a question. How much hash memory can CM10K handle? I have it set for
128K (cm_parm tts=131072000) and it uses about that according to the task
manager.
