As a beta tester for Tao I have tested many different settings and I'm currently
working on finding the optimal settings. Tao does very well with positions such
as this on which are mid-game. If you note a majority of the test positions I
respond to are begining and mid game as Tao is a little weak in the end-game at
the moment. Currently I have what I think are the best settings for the
extensions and I'm working on the eval settings which are showing some
improvement in its end-game. When ever I post analysis here is it with the
current settings I'm using on FICS.

As for the strength of the version I have and the settings I'm using, yes 5.7 is
much stronger then 5.6. In a run I completed last night Tao was even with Crafty
(using a set of openings which are mirrored). There is still aways to go finding
the best settings that preform well against all engines but I am getting closer.
