I take it you're running Windows since you mentioned Nero... by chance do you also run Linux? If Windows only let me know, I might be able to find something. If you're not a developer, then it would be kinda a waste to download and install cygwin just to run dd. BTW dd basically means... do a binary dump of date from whatever device to this file or another device. Really handy for backing up pure images of CD/floppys/etc Sincerely, Joshua Shriver > >On June 29, 2004 at 11:06:04, Joshua Shriver wrote: >As I am not a computer expert., would u pls tell me step by step how to proceed >? >Thx > >>On June 28, 2004 at 23:36:19, Bernardo Wesler wrote: >> >>>How could I create a ISO cd to backup my legal copies of chessbase? >>>I tried with nero but it was not able to do that. >>>Suggestions welcome! >>>Thx in advance >> >> >>Hrm.. >> >>dd if=/dev/hdb of=whatever.iso >> >>replace hdb with whatever you drive is located. >>If you're using windows, dd is part of cygwin. >> >>Also if on Windows look for a port of mkisofs. >> >>Hope that helps..
