If you really want to how I last to move 20, before the start of the game I >remove its queen, rooks, knights, bishops and 7 pawns, and I still get crushed. I was a bit intrigued when i read your post i decided to try this against one of my stronger dedicated units. and see how long i could last. i pulled a 2200 Elo unit off the shelf and having decided to allow it the KNP i set up.. THE STARTING POSITION: [D]4k3/6p1/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQ - 0 1 this particular computer had the "Resign feature" ..when the computer determined the evaluation was worse then -10.00 it would offer to resign of course i could have immediatley accepted this right from the getgo ..and chaulked up the win..but i was feeling a bit cocky and actually thought i could win from this position if not draw as play began i was overcome by the totally clear path to queening my pawns as if mesmorized by this concept i started marching pawns full speed ahead queening one after the other in an orgasmic pawn promotion frenzy.. until we had reached blacks 17th move... i did not notice that the computer at this point was no longer offering to resgin.. BLAck TO MOVE..17 [D] QQ1QQ3/8/8/8/6k1/6p1/5P1P/6BK b - - 0 1 sigh... oh well..almost made move 20! :)) Steve
