Chris made a "delete my account" request, the kind people make when they are angry and disgusted. He got into a big fight with the founder's group and after some time they decided to honor his request. What eventually happened is that his password was changed so that he couldn't access his account. I don't believe that all of the founders/moderators knew this had happened. I think that some of them wanted to do what he asked, which would have left him free to come back at a point of his choosing (for instance, the next day), and others wanted to create a situation where he would have to ask to be let back in. But changing a password so that someone can't access their account is exactly how people are banned here, it's what happened to Rolf, for instance. I am pretty sure that Blatchford was Chris, since at one point he even posted the same post here and at r.g.c.c., and he was also banned in this guise. He neither confirms nor denies that he was Blatchford. bruce
