Sounds like you still have a cooling problem even with a "superior" heatsink.
Try taking it off and cleaning off the heatsink as well as CPU core any applying
Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound. Make sure the layer is about as thin as a few
credit cards and put the heatsink back on.

Also make sure a stray wire isn't caught between the chip PCB and heatsink. This
could cause the heatsink to cant at an angle and not provide proper contact. The
CPU should be firmly seated. When putting the CPU into the socket use two
fingers on either side of the core to hold the cpu firmly into the socket while
you pull the ZIF lever down to lock the chip into place.

Sometimes people just plop the chip in and one side is higher than the other
when they lock the CPU down. This will cause the cant as well and end up not
having uniform pressure/contact between the heatsink and core.. of course
resulting in extremely poor cooling performance.

You should not have any problems. The only way that 2700+ would be unstable is
if it got up into the 80C+ range or higher which signifys a major cooling
problem.
