The hardware advantage of Bob is mainly relative to amateurs and not relative to professional programs. I do not know why some people thought that shredder and Fritz are going to have inferior hardware relative to Crafty. Crafty was the first to post his hardware and it is clearly better than the other amateurs but I had no idea at that time what hardware is going to be used by Fritz,Junior and shredder. We could expect at least 4*2 ghz for shredder based on sandro's post when he said that Crafty will not get more than 2:1 hardware advantage relative to shredder and he considered the possibility of 8 opterons for crafty in that post.
