Their >presence would have have made it an even more exciting event. > >Rodney Yes The reason is that it is expensive to waste money on such events espacially when you have a commercial program that it's name is not Junior or Fritz so based on history you have no chance to get a match against Kasparov or Kramnik. I believe that one of the programs that you mention could have small chances to win the event but all these programs do not support more than 1 processor and it reduce their chances. I believe their probability to win the tournament is less than 5% and if we talk about money with probability of less than 5% to win it is a bad deal from commercial reasons because even if you win you do not get much for it(you only can mention that you are the world champion in advertisments and you will not get for it 20 times the price that you payed for the world championship).
