If not, you might try this: (assuming you're on windows 2000) About the same for XP, though. Second try would be to fire up M.C., and start the troubleshooter utility, and see if it will re-assign resources properly. Third try would be to uninstall Majestic chess. Then go on-line, and while on-line, install M.C. again. Since your modem is in use now, MC should be given non-conflicting resources by Windows, to use. If that doesn't work, next try would be to uninstall your modem, start up M.C., and then re-install your modem. Last try would be to check the interrupts and addresses being used by each, and try and reset them manually. Good luck. Dave
