Hi Larry: Perhaps is not playing againts computer what caused your fall from hope to resignation, but the way you play against them. I would bet that the problem is an increasing lazyness due to the fact you can do with a computer what you cannot with a human being: take back. Take backs and PV lines, etc. If you play a computer according to the strict rules of a tournament, there is not reason you should lose you strenght as much they are strong player, probable far above avarage tournament players oposition.
