I recently implemented a transposition table in my new program. It doesn't actually *do* anything yet, but the framework is there. What i'm interested in is just an aproximation of how many hits I should be getting. In an average game, it seems to get about 30-40 percent key locks. This seems ok, having compared with a few other engines. However only about 10% of these locks actually have a best_move associated with them. Is this at all normal, or waaay below? So far my program has very limited pruning and move-ordering, so it shouldn't be wonderfull. Just not sure if it's 'got to be buggy'. Thanks for your help. Tor
