I really didn't think of any other, especially patronising or condescending,
ways, to treat you  other than as a person who is so much in love with
dedicateds that he forgets about their essential "thingy" quality (cf. Alain
Robbe-Grillet which you may as you are good at French).  And, of course, being
who you are, you assign anthropomorphic qualities to wooden or plastic boards
with lots of electronic circuitry.  Which is exactly my previous observation ==>
being carried away ==>equals thinking of dedicated chess computers as almost
real human chess players. Not that I do not suffer from the same syndrome though
:-)

Sorry if I articulated my immediate reaction improperly.  My apologies, I did it
on the spur of the moment.
