We have only four serious entries in the tournament:

° JUNIOR

° FRITZ

° SHREDDER

° CRAFTY

thereafter we have two or three programs which will never win a Wch, with
programmers who are always highly motivated

° SJENG

° DIEP

° FALCON

and then we have four or five evergreens and newcomers with Olympic Spirit.

That is not enough class for a WCCCC.

This is a computer championship!!

You don't believe me? Oh, well.

Yes, of course the programmers and operators move the chess pieces on wooden
boards as if it were a human tournament. This looks good on the photos but most
of the operators can't play chess. The Law has been made so that programmers can
prove that they can program a reasonable time management for human operating
computers!!! You see?

If it would be all automaticalized on computers, what should the human
programmers do the whole day long? Enjoying the weather? Goodness me! Are you
joking? A little bit of masochism should be guaranteed, no?!

Example 1:

Can you imagine the tension Stefan enjoyed when Mina stretched her little finger
into his eyes? see http://www.cs.biu.ac.il/games/pictures/img9.jpg

Example 2:

This is a fantastic proof that chess programmers are also decent piano players.
Look to the harmony in Amir's fingerplay at
http://www.cs.biu.ac.il/games/pictures/img8.jpg What will be his next move???

I love these human- directed- machine- supported championships.

Even I as a spectator have fallen in love. Please keep this for yourself. Tanks.
