Subject: Why have the prices increased substantially?

It's difficult not to notice the marked increase in prices of new programs just
recently released.  Is it because the programs have improved significantly, or
(as my friend believes) inflation is very high in the countries where the
programmers live?


Also, are there reasonable expectations that the prices will drop after the
holidays?
