HP isn't allowing me... - now with your information here I become more and more certain that Amir had made one of his usual tongue in cheek. In the meantime he has stated (to Uri) that he has 4 processors - _without_ your input I found it pretty unfair to hide your hardware informations; changing personalities between rounds is another problem, but actually not forbidden, but I found that the hardware of a program should be made public; however if the participants are informed then it's no longer unfair; Dann Corbit made a funny remark, that a company has interests to wait if all is going ok before they go into PR mode - this is trivial but I hadn't considered it :) - IMO the 10 rounds for 14 participants is odd and in combination with the possibility to gamble in the last rounds - this is completely without reasonable base; but this is just a more scientific approach when we all know that the officials and TD have _no_ connect whatsoever with universities, so I won't become too harsh here, I know how it feels to be blamed for your lay status, I haven't still got through with my new chessprogram *Rorybest* on 8 processors of course - perhaps shortly before XMas...
