It has ben unfortunate that my post about Diep maddly chasing pawns as Junior prepared the killing has produced some degree of attack or flaming over Diepeveen, the author. I have nothing againts him and so please do not include me in the middle of that noisy battle. I have only expressed a relatively soft, mild, perhaps even humorous criticism of one notorious peculiarity of Mr Diepeveen I mentioned there, his reglar bombasts about Diep knowledge. Besides, Diepeveen has sinned when critizising other programs and now Hubrys, the greek god or goddess of vengeance, has mauled him hard. That's all. He has sinned as anybody can about the most usual, common, vulgar sin: vanity and arrogance. Beyond that I am sure Diepeveen is a highly intelligent and nice guy, a capable programmer simpy caught, this time, for his own words uttered in a recent and distant past. Who can throw the first stone? Not me in my own field, for sure. But also and for the same eson it is always good to be remembered of these sins not to commit them again in the future. As the guy at his side was ordered to say to the Caesars when in triumph, "remember you are mortal". That I did. Not less, NOT more. I really feel myself as a grandfaher today... fernando
