Yes, I think they are testing the market to see if their prices will stand the test. But the price of upgrade is still quite expansive, and you only get a 50 points ELO improvement in comparison to the old chess engine. I would wait until there was a significant improvement, such as larger endgame tablebases, or at least 100 ELO improvement.
