The question is if it has serious affect on the results of crafty in fast time
control games

If it is slower only in cases when it sees mate because it feels duty for
unclear reason to use its time but not all its time then it has no affect on the
results of crafty and the only affect is that crafty wins slower when it finds
mate.

If you can prove that crafty can lose on time when there is a mate in the board
or that crafty is slower in a position when it does not see a forced mate then
this problem realy affect the performance of crafty in fast time controls
