That's funny.  It reminds me of one time when I was fishing with a friend, and
my line & lure went over a tree branch at the edge of the lake.  He laughed at
me, so I pretended that it was on purpose and slowly lowered the lure until it
just touched the surface of the water.  Then, I jiggled the lure, and a big fish
snapped it up!  He looked at me and said, "So, now I suppose you're going to
claim that was on purpose?"  I just gave him a big grin and didn't say anything,
enjoying bringing my big fish in the boat.  Whatever works, huh?

By the way, I agree with Fernando that the guy was being a jerk.  In an offhand
game, to be so hard-assed is just plain ridiculous and anti-social.  My guess is
that, in time, nobody will want to play with him.
