Dan, I hear where you're coming from, but a few points: First, there's no way one little computer geek is going to out-organize and replace the WCCC. That was not my intention. The WCCC is an important event, and I want to see it continue as much as anyone. My idea was for an additional event, here in the US, where there hasn't been one for ages. Second, think of it this way: If the WCCC was absolutely everything anyone could hope for in a tournament, then my idea will never get off the ground, and in fact, I probably wouldn't have suggested it. But the fact remains that there are some things that aren't being done there that would be neat to see. Third, you're probably right about my timing being bad. It's just an idea that struck me because of all the talk of live play, and I thought I'd throw it out there. It's not like I'm going to be able to organize this overnight anyway, but we can get things started anyway.
