Subject: About Clones and the Commercial DIEP & SJENG

Author: Rolf Tueschen

Hello all,

in Graz we had the situation that suddenly when LIST was ahead of DIEP & SJENG
it was ordered that LIST should prove through his code that it wasn't a CRAFTY
clone. LIST was banned and therefore DIEP & SJENG were ahead of LIST again,
because LIST was forbidden to play on.

Now after the 8th round in Bar-Ilan we have that same situation. This time a
program called C_R_A_F_T_Y is ahead of DIEP & SJENG. Ahead of everybody except
JUNIOR, SHREDDER & FRITZ.

What will happen? Will Crafty lay open his source code to prove beyond
reasonable doubts that it's not a clone???

Tension increasing. How the TD will decide. Will something worse happen?

Satire Wolf

P.S. I was just informed that this time the Crafty clone question was met by
simply pairing the beast against all others with the Black pieces. (In German:
So Peter has the Schwarzen Peter!!)
