Subject: Fritz 5.32 and the Power Book

Author: Tim Jenkins

I recently upgrades from Fritz5.16 to Fritz5.32. I also have the power book
which I purchased earlier this year. Now that I'm using the new 32 bit Fritz
program the power book doesn't seem right. I normal play white and open with e4.
In the "Book Options Window" if I adjust the "Variety of Play" slide bar all the
way to the left (minimal variety - best lines) the program offers 2 moves; i.e.,
C5 and E5. If I adjust the bar all the way to the right (maximum variety - all
lines) the program only offers 2 moves again; i.e., G5 and H5, no others. If I
adjust the bar about 3/4 of the way to the right I get about 8 moves but some
are rare like g5, h5, a5, etc. but it does not include more commom lines like
Nf6, d6. With Fritz 5.16 it work like one would expect.

Anyone else have this problem?
