Fibchess is a to me unknown engine, which has a very strong chess player as author. No doubt, he will be able to improve his engine soon. The experience of this tournament might help him. TCB is a wellknown engine, that certainly is not very weak. Of course, as for almost all amateurs, one would expect a win of Shredder vs. TCB. But I think, a draw is not that unlikely. It seems, TCB was really unfortunate in this years WCCC and had results under its typical performance (it is one of the first WB-engines). Its author is known for other really top programs (car racing simulations, if I understand correctly). Also he has a very nice home page, that includes a very interesting paper about statistics (in chess games), and how to decide who is better. I have seen, that he is also competing in another tourney during this WCCC. Regards, Dieter
