Junior and his book are very well tuned and tested: Just appropiated openings for the Junior style and very well tested lines. I dont know this FAQ in computer chess. However, if Diep is beginning to show a new potential, something must be happening..... Of course, the programmer skills are fundamental for the engine progress. For now, Junior and Shredder keep the distance. Perhaps, it was just a bad Tournament for Fritz and only that. For the rest, there are potential engines that will bright in the coming years.
