Both players likely viewed the outcome of the match as a their ticket to a

this made them extremely nervous and this was refelcted in their play.

Given what was as stake, what could be offered to Adams as compensation for
throwinging such a match? IMO a more likely explanation for Kasimdzhanov success
is his last name starts with a letter "K" and I don't think much of that
explanation either.
