You act like the WCCC is this _huge_ public event that the world tunes into. I
bet 99% of those who know of it and follow it are members here or at least know
it's open hardware. So level playing field is handicapping those that can be
much stronger on a quad Opteron because we have a few programs that can't
utilize threading in their programs, so we should have had them run on the P
4's? I'm sorry, but I really don't see where you all come up with this level
playing field angle. If it's not hardware it's compiler's. What will it be when
they have equal hardware? What will be unfair then?
Some don't have access or money for top level GM's to make custom books. What
should we do here? The book probably has a bigger effect than the hardware at
the long time controls.
