even dedicated chess computers of the 80 and 90 were faster.
if your pocket PC really needs 4' to see rxc3 it is a bad example (exception)
where pocket fritz is NOT finding a move very fast for whatever strange reason.

here my results for several machines:

Palm Hiarcs 9.41 zire21 (oc 192mhz) in 1-2"
Palm Genius 2.1 zire21 (oc 192mhz) in 28"

                    sel.3 7'45"
     Mach III Master in 15'56"

     Sphinx Dominator in 38'
     Simultano in 44'
     Supermondial in 45'

     Mondial 18h30'
     Constellation 22h
     MM IV 23h30'
Mephisto III (8Bit) not in 42h
     Almeria 16Bit not in 1h
     Academy not in 1h
     Excell 68000 not in 1h
Palm Tiger 15.1 zire21(TM1.33) not in 23'

As you can see Tiger has also problems to find the move.
Of course it is running on an emulation of the 68K version
but the speed index on my 192 mhz zire is 1.33.
On my 54 mhz 68 K Pam m100 the speed index (tigermark) is btw.
2.x
