Yes, you might be correct since shredder 8 is over 100 rating points more than
any of these programs, but if you take List 512, Aristach 4.50, Jonny 2.64 or
Ruffian which are at the same level give or take 30 rating points up or down and
match them against any of these four, whichever program you decide not to give
it an opening book will NOT score more than 30% against the rest of the programs
with Opening Book. I do realize that the Opening book only provide a 30-40
rating points difference, but that difference when the programs are similar in
strength can make all the didderence in the world :-)
