That would seem to apply the same if neither engine had an opening book.
The only time you don't have that possibility is when one of the engines chooses
one of several book moves randomly, which most do i think.

So it seems to me better to at least have 1 engine randomly choosing an opening
via a book than not having either engine randomizing it's openings.
